On July 19, the Joint Commission set up by the group of six intermediary countries and Iran held its second meeting in Vienna since the start of full-format implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear programme.

During the meeting, the sides considered practical cooperation issues and the progress made to fulfil the comprehensive agreement, which includes mechanisms to overcome potential difficulties as they emerge. The commission resumed discussing a number of technical elements designed to ensure mutually acceptable solutions within the commission’s framework, as well as the process of re-integrating Iran into international financial and economic markets following the lifting of sanctions.

Representatives of the intermediary countries, Iran and the EU expressed satisfaction that implementation of the Joint Plan has reached a stable phase due to joint efforts during the preceding period.
