On 1 September 2014, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke on the phone with Italy’s Federica Mogherini.
Mr Lavrov congratulated his Italian counterpart on her appointment as the new EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy. The two officials also discussed several important issues on the current international agenda, including the Ukrainian crisis and finding ways for its political settlement.
