Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko meets EU Special Representative for Central Asia Terhi Hakala

On 10 November 2021 Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko received the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Terhi Hakala, who was in Moscow on a working visit.

The parties exchanged views on the current situation in the Central Asian region, including with regard to the impact of recent developments in Afghanistan. The need was stressed to prevent a humanitarian disaster in Afghanistan and provide assistance to its civilian population.

The officials also addressed a range of issues on the regional agenda, the state of integration processes in the Eurasian space and development of trade and economic cooperation.
