On 27 June 2023, the Permanent Mission of Russia to the EU hosted a reception for heads and senior diplomats of Latin American and Caribbean missions (LAC) accredited in Brussels.
In his welcoming speech, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Russian Mission to the EU Kirill Logvinov, building on the provisions of the updated Russian Foreign Policy Concept, emphasised that our country is developing relations with Latin American and Caribbean states on a pragmatic and mutually beneficial basis. He stressed the intention to resume our meetings within the Russia-CELAC Permanent Mechanism for Political Dialogue and Cooperation, which would contribute to strengthening multilateralism and reinforcing the role of developing states.
The participants endorsed the need for a truly multipolar system of international relations based on the norms and principles of the UN Charter.
The guests watched “Tell the World about your Motherland” video dedicated to our country’s regions and viewed a photo exhibition entitled "Splendours of Russia".
