On 20 September Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Alexander Grushko held consultations in Brussels with EEAS Deputy Secretary General for political affairs, Helga Schmid.
The parties had an in-depth discussion on a wide range of issues of Russia-EU agenda, such as ways to promote political dialogue, prospects of a visa-free regime between Russia and the EU, cooperation within the Common Space of External Security, as well as approaches to implementation of the Partnership for Modernisation initiative and advancing the work on the Russia-EU New Basic Agreement.
A number of topical international issues was also addressed during the meeting.
