Everyone has already got used to every statement by the European Union on Russia being nothing but an attempt to interfere in our country's internal affairs. The latest EU opus was prompted by the Single Voting Day, which ended throughout the whole territory of the Russian Federation on 10 September 2023.

In this regard, we deem it necessary to remind the authors of the statement that, following the freely expressed will of their inhabitants, the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are at present constituent entities of the Russian Federation governed by Russian law. As for Crimea and Sevastopol, they reunited with Russia pursuant to the referendum held there back in 2014.

In view of the above, we call on the European Union to calm down at last and stop deciding for Russians how they should exercise their electoral rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
