Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov meets EU Special Envoy for Non-proliferation and Disarmament Jacek Bylica

On 4 March Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Ryabkov met recently appointed EU Special Envoy for Non-proliferation and Disarmament Jacek Bylica.

A substantive discussion was held on a wide range of specific issues, including negotiations on the International Arms Trade Treaty, the NPT review process, prospects of convening a conference on the establishment of a zone free of weapons of mass destruction and means of delivery in the Middle East, as well as safety and security in the outer space.

The parties agreed to maintain contacts on issues of mutual interest.
