Comment by the Russian Permanent Mission to the EU on EU Statements regarding Drone Attacks in the Moscow Region

We are surely far from being alone in our puzzlement by the words of Peter Stano, lead spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policy of the European External Action Service, who, asked by a journalist about the terrorist attack perpetrated in the Moscow region on 30 May 2023, said that it was not for him to comment. Moreover, we are convinced that the EU must strongly condemn the criminal acts committed by Kiev. There is no doubt that the attack was plotted and carried out by the Kiev regime, for which terror methods have become a routine practice.

In essence, Brussels' tacit support for such actions by the Ukrainian authorities and its encouragement of Kiev to inflict damage on Russia "on the battlefield" lead to an escalation of the conflict and incite Kiev to further criminal acts. And all this is done with weapons supplied, inter alia, by EU Member States.

It has long become clear that Brussels does not care about what happens to Ukraine. The West is using the Ukrainian crisis as an excuse to promote its own claims to global dominance. However, the EU leadership, whether it likes it or not, will have to get out of its pseudo-reality, stop its hybrid warfare against Russia and reflect on finding its place in the emerging multipolar world.
