A solemn ceremony is held in Brussels on the occasion of the 78th Anniversary of the Great Victory

On 9 May 2023 wreaths were laid at the communal cemetery in Evere at the memorials of Soviet citizens who had died in the struggle against Nazism and of members of the Belgian Resistance.

The ceremony was attended by officials from the following counties:

Russia – Amb. Alexander Tokovinin and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Mission to the EU Kirill Logvinov, Azerbaijan - Amb. Vaqif Sadiqov, Armenia – Amb. Anna Aghadjanian, Belarus - Chargé d'Affaires Ekaterina Shatokhina, Kazakhstan  - Amb. Margulan Baimukhan, Kyrgyzstan – Amb. Aidit Erkin, Tajikistan – Amb. Erkinkhon Rahmatullozoda, Turkmenistan – Amb. Sapar Palvanov, Uzbekistan  - Amb. Dilyor Khakimov.
