On the bias of EU politicians and media

On 8 April 2022 immediately after a large number of civilians, including children, were killed at a railway station in the town of Kramatorsk as a result of an explosion of a Tochka-U tactical missile, several EU leaders, echoing once again representatives of the Kiev regime, just like after the recent tragic events in Bucha, rushed to place the blame on the Russian armed forces.

The Russian Mission to the EU emphasizes that simultaneous calls for an investigation of alleged war crimes and the declaration with lightning speed of Russia as guilty of committing them is pure nonsense from the point of view not only of law, but also of common sense. Responsible politicians should be guided not by emotions and opportunistic considerations, but by facts, which need to be established through an objective investigation.

It is deeply regrettable and worrying that in a fit of anti-Russian emotions people, including seemingly highly-educated politicians, and respectable media cannot or do not want to see the obvious discrepancies in the versions aggressively imposed on them.

For example, the photos and videoclips freely available on Internet, including geo-referenced pictures of the missile that fell in Kramatorsk, enable any user with a basic understanding of physics to be convinced that it could have come exclusively from a sector controlled by the Ukrainian armed forces.

We demand that top European Union officials stop their hypocritical anti-Russian hysteria and abandon the cynical tactic of covering up obvious crimes of their protegés from Kiev against both civilians and prisoners of war, and reconsider their position on the events taking place around Ukraine basing on a rational analysis of the already existing facts.
