On 23 December 2021 Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov met with the Head of European Union Delegation to the Russian Federation Markus Ederer.

They discussed Russian proposals for long-term legally binding guaranties of Russia's security by US and NATO.

The state of the Vienna talks on JCPOA was also addressed.
