On 13 July 2020 Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union Ambassador Vladimir Chizhov received EU Special Representative for the Belgrade – Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues Miroslav Lajčák.

The parties discussed the overall situation on the Western Balkans with a focus on the state of affairs and prospects of the Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina under facilitation of the European Union. It was emphasised that United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 is the legal basis for settling the Kosovo issue, and remains relevant to the full extend.
