The Russian Foreign Ministry has launched two Twitter accounts: MID_RF in Russian and MFA_Russia in English.

In the news blogs the MFA will provide information on Russian foreign policy, its views on major developments in international relations and publish announcements of forthcoming events. Moreover, followers will be able to receive alerts to their mobile phones regarding emergencies in various regions of the world.

The MFA accounts are meant for a wide audience. We believe that they will be useful to all those interested in what is happening across the world.

Please note that other accounts positioning themselves as “MFA accounts” have nothing to do with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
