Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov meets EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton

On 6 December a meeting between Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton took place on the margins of the OSCE CMFA.

Parties discussed a number of topical issues related to Russia-EU cooperation, including trade and economic relations, strengthening political dialogue mechnisms, promoting vasa-free travel for Russian and EU citizens, as well as cooperation in the field of crisis management. 

Some issued of the global agenda have also been addressed.
