On 4 July State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin received EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian.

The meeting participants discussed the current status and opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and the EU in Central Asia. Russia’s representative stressed the importance of respecting the region’s current realities by all interested parties, including the rapidly developing Eurasian integration.
