Russia and Europol negotiate a new cooperation agreement

The fourth round of negotiations on the Agreement on Strategic and Operational Cooperation between Russia and Europol was held on 28-30 November 2011 in The Hague.

The participants achieved considerable progress, having agreed on most provisions of the document, and reiterated their determination to conclude negotiations and sign the new agreement in the nearest future.

The negotiations on the new agreement are underway since October 2010. The agreement will replace a Russia-Europol cooperation agreement signed on 6 November 2003 in Rome.
