Senior Officials on Russia-EU Visa Dialogue meet in Brussels

On 23 September 2011 Russian Ambassador-at-Large Anwar Azimov and European Commission Director General on Home Affairs Stefano Manservisi met in Brussels in their respective capacities of Senior Officials on Russia-EU Visa Dialogue.

Issues pertaining to endorsement and further implementation of the draft Common Steps towards Visa Free Short-Term Travel of Russian and EU Citizens were discussed at the meeting.

Ambassador Anwar Azimov was appointed Senior Official as of 5 September 2011, replacing Ambassador Vladimir Voronkov, who took the position of Russian Permanent Representative to International Organisations in Vienna earlier this month.
