EU-Russia expert consultations on UN issues

Consultations between Russia and the EU on UN issues (CONUN) took place on 21 June 2011 in Brussels. The Russian delegation was headed by Deputy Director of the Department of International Organisations of the Russian MFA, Mr.Vladimir Safronkov. Ms.Kristin de Peyron, Head of the Multilateral Relations Division in the EEAS, headed the EU team. The agenda included the issues of peacebuilding and peacekeeping under UN auspices, climate change, use of sanctions, situation in the Middle East and North Africa, Russia-EU cooperation within the UN.
