Third round of expert consultations on Russia-EU Agreement on Drug Precursors

The third round of expert consultations on Russia-EU Agreement on Drug Precursors was held in Brussels on 19-20 October 2010. The participants made substantial progress in conforming the text of the document. Mutual understanding was reached on a number of important issues. Finalizing of the outstanding articles of the draft agreement will be carried out with the participation of relevant experts.

The meeting confirmed the intention of Russia and the EU to finalize as soon as possible the draft Agreement which will allow to strengthen the international control on precursors used for manufacturing of narcotic drugs.
