Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov met on October 22 in Brussels with Robert Cooper, Director General for External and Politico-Military Affairs of the Council of the European Union.

They discussed in detail the situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program, with special emphasis on an early resumption of talks between EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, the political directors of the E3+3 and the Iranian representatives.
