On 15 October Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov received the Head of the EU Delegation to Russia, Vygaudas Ušackas at the latter’s request.

In the course of the meeting substantial discussion on the evolving situation in and around Syria took place, focusing on the search of ways for an early political settlement of the Syrian crisis.
