Russia-EU expert consultations on OSCE and Council of Europe issues

Consultations between Russia and the EU on OSCE and Council of Europe issues (COSCE) took place on 12 November 2014 in Brussels. The Russian side was represented by Deputy Directors of the European Сooperation Department of the MFA of Russia Alexey Polisсhuk and Alexander Kurmaz. Richard Tibbels, head of the EEAS Eastern Partnership, Regional Cooperation and OSCE Division led the EU team. The Parties discussed a wide range of issues related to Russia – EU cooperation within the OSCE and the Council of Europe, and the role of these organisations in resolving the crisis in Ukraine. It was provisionally agreed to hold the next round of COSCE consultations in the first half of 2015 in Brussels.
