On 11 February Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Federica Mogherini, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission on the sidelines of the Munich conference on security policy issues.

The parties discussed current issues of Russia–EU relations and global agenda items, including the prospects for a Syrian settlement and the situation in Ukraine.
