On 12 June our country celebrates Russia Day, a major national holiday. Festive events are organised all over the country. Being far from our homeland, we attach particular importance to this date – it represents not only an occasion to remember Russia's achievements, its rich culture and endless expanse, but also an opportunity to bring together the Russian diplomatic corps defending interests of our great power, representatives of Russian diasporas and compatriots living abroad, friends of our country.
To commemorate the National day in Brussels, the Permanent Mission of Russia to the European Union and the Russian Embassy in Belgium organised a state reception on 9 June. The event, attended by representatives of diplomatic corps, public and business communities, was held in a warm and friendly environment.
