The 12th Session of the Joint Russia – EU Commission for Fisheries in the Baltic Sea took place on 24–25 September 2019 in Brussels. The two sides discussed the state of the jointly exploited stocks of aquatic biological resources and exchanged views on measures of control and monitoring. Its next session will be held in 2020 in Russia.
Sessions of the Joint Commission have been held since 2009 on the basis of the Russia – EU Agreement on Cooperation in Fisheries and the Conservation of Live Marine Resources in the Baltic Sea.
