Russia requested the establishment of a panel to dispute with the EU in the WTO

On 14 March 2019 Russia requested the establishment of a panel in its dispute with the EU in the World Trade Organisation (WTO) regarding anti-dumping measures on Russian cold-rolled flat steel products. The measure is applied by the EU since 5 August 2016, anti-dumping duty rate is 18.7% for Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works OJSC, 34% for PJSC Severstal, 36.1% for PJSC Novolipetsk Steel and all other companies.

In accordance with the WTO dispute settlement procedure, the request was proceeded by a stage of formal consultations. Such consultations with the EU were held, but no mutually-agreed solution was found.
