A regular Senior Officials meeting of Russia-EU Dialogue on Migration was held in Brussels on 25 June 2012.
Russian delegation led by Mr. K.Romodanovsky, Director of the Federal Migration Service, included Ambassador-at-Large A.Azimov, MFA and Migration Service experts and members of the Permanent Mission to the EU. The EU team led by Mr. S.Manservisi, European Commission, Director General for Home Affairs, included experts of Commission, EEAS, representatives of Danish Presidency and 18 other Member States.
The parties gave a positive assessment of the progress of migration dialogue in accordance with the Work Plan for 2011-2012, and outlined perspectives for further cooperation in 2013-2014.
The Russia-EU Dialogue on Migration was launched in June 2011 and envisages exchange of views and joint cooperation on issues of legal and irregular migration, international protection, migration and development.
