The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation presented a “Report on Human Rights in Certain States” on December 28, 2011. The document draws particular attention to the situation in the humanitarian field in the USA and the European Union, particularly in the Baltic states.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law Konstantin K. Dolgov, the report is not designed to respond to criticism voiced by foreign states towards Russian realities, nor is it an attempt to interfere in their domestic affairs.
The report will be released annually.
