At the end of the first day of the G20 Leaders’ Summit, Vladimir Putin had bilateral meetings with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
The conversations mainly dealt with the developments in southeast Ukraine. Vladimir Putin gave a detailed account of Russia’s approach to the situation.
In addition, the lengthy comprehensive discussion with Angela Merkel covered Russian-German relations, while the talks with Jean-Claude Juncker focused on relations between Moscow and Brussels.
