The Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the European Union expresses its deepest condolences on the demise of Giulietto Chiesa, prominent journalist and expert in international relations, former Member of the European Parliament.
He always stood firmly for a close, mutually trustworthy relationship between Russia and the European Union especially in his capacity as Member of the European Parliament Delegation to the EU – Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee. His sharp mind together with his original thinking and exceptional sense of humour earned him respect and love of many citizens of Russia and EU.
