29 February, a traditional meeting of S.V. Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, with ambassadors of 27 member-states of the European Union and the Head of EU Representative Office in the Russian Federation took place in Moscow.
The parties approved the development of cooperation between Russia and the European Union in the second half of 2012. The parties discussed the ways of implementation of the resolutions of EU-Russia Summit held in Brussels on 14-15 December 2011. S.V. Lavrov attracted attention of the ambassadors to the unsettled problematic issues in EU-Russia relations which hinder the full deployment of their potential.
The parties also discussed the most urgent international issues, including situation in Syria and North Africa in whole.
