On 28 September Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov participated in a meeting of foreign ministers of E3+3 (P5+1) countries and Iran, as well as the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, held on the margins of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
All parties reaffirmed their strong will to follow the letter and spirit of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action adopted on 14 July in Vienna on settling of the situation around the Iranian nuclear programme, and to fully respect their obligations. At this stage the major task is to ensure practical implementation of the agreement and achieve sustainability of the process. Mr. Lavrov confirmed that Russia would spare no effort and do everything in its power for this goal.
