On 9 October 2018 in Brussels the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) with the support of the Baker McKenzie law firm and the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Russia and Belarus held a seminar on the Russian practice of antitrust regulation.

The FAS delegation led by its Deputy Head Andrey Tsyganov clarified to the lawyers of major European companies specific aspects of Russian practice of authorising mergers and acquisitions, regulating access of foreign direct investments to the Russian economy and enforcement practice in countering cartel agreements within a digitalizing economy.

The FAS Training and Methodological Centre and Baker McKenzie law firm signed a Cooperation Agreement in the margins of the event. The parties agreed to hold joint events on competition advocacy, implementation of publishing projects, mutual consulting on issues of competition and antitrust laws as well as undertake joint study of Russian and international antitrust regulation practices.
