On 29 November 2021 talks to restore the JCPOA resumed in Vienna after more than a five-month break.
All the participants reaffirmed their commitment to further efforts to return to the full implementation of the nuclear deal as soon as possible, as well as to continue intense interaction in order to settle unresolved issues remaining after the sixth round of talks. The parties stressed their resolve to achieve results as quickly as possible.
An agreement was reached to relaunch two expert working groups on sanctions and nuclear issues.
In general, the participants found the launch of the talks to be positive and constructive and felt that they inspired optimism.
