Russia participates in Seafood 2017

For the second time Russia was represented with a joint country’s pavilion in the biggest European specialised event in the sphere of fisheries and fish processing Seafood  Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global 2017 that was held on 25-27 April 2017 in Brussels. About 30 Russian companies from the main fishing regions – Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Primorskiy Region, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk and Kaliningrad – took part in the expo.

The official Russia’s delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture/Head of the Russian Federal Agency for Fishery Mr. Ilya Shestakov. On the margins of the expo Mr. Shestakov met Director-General of the European Commission for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Mr. João Aguiar Machado, and held a number of other meetings with representatives of countries from the North-Atlantic region.

At the expo Russian companies signed contracts that, alone on fish products supply, are worth around 50 million US dollars, and negotiated a number of investment projects.
