Russia-EU Enlargement Consultations

On May 11, 2011 within the framework of the Russia – EU political dialogue Mr. Petr A. IVANTSOV, Deputy Director of the 4th European Department, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held in Brussels Russia – EU enlargement expert consultations (COELA). Mr. László SINKA, Head of the Department for Justice and Home Affairs and Enlargement of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was in charge of the EU delegation.

Current aspects of EU integration perspectives of Croatia, Turkey and Iceland were discussed.

On the margins Mr. P.IVANTSOV also met with Mr. M.LAJCAK, Managing Director (Europe and Central Asia) of the European External Action Service, as well as with heads of units for Bosnia and Herzegovina and for Kosovo issues in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enlargement. The discussions were primarily focused on the political situation in and around Kosovo and Bosnia.
