On October 4, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and North Africa Mikhail Bogdanov met with Vygaudas Usackas, Head of the European Union’s Delegation to Russia, at the latter’s request.
They discussed current issues on the Middle East agenda with emphasis on the current military, political and humanitarian situation in Syria, including in the context of the emergency humanitarian initiative for Aleppo announced by the European Union.
