President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso.
The two leaders touched on current issues in relations between Russia and the European Union, including within the context of Kiev signing the EU association agreement.
Mr Putin and Mr Barroso agreed to continue contacts, including during a possible personal meeting, with date and venue to be agreed upon via diplomatic channels.
