On 19 October 2020 the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union Ambassador Vladimir Chizhov received the newly appointed Permanent Representative of Japan to the European Union Ambassador Yasushi Masaki.
During the meeting the parties discussed the current state and prospects of the two countries’ interaction with the EU, as well as bilateral Russian-Japanese relations, specific aspects of cooperation within various integration formats and initiatives in Eurasia and the Asia-Pacific region.
