On 5 November 2019 Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union Ambassador Vladimir Chizhov received EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process (MEPP) Ambassador Susanna Terstal.
The parties discussed the situation around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, emphasising that direct negotiations between the sides remain a priority. They also advocated mobilising efforts of constructive representatives of the international community in order to support the current MEPP legal framework and overcome the artificial dangerous pause in the peace process.
