Оn 26 November 2019 a meeting was held between Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union Ambassador Vladimir Chizhov and EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos (Greece) who is stepping down in the coming days as the current term of office of the EU Commission expires.
The officials exchanged views on today’s state of Russia-EU relations in the fields of justice and internal affairs. They stressed the importance of continuing pragmatic and politically unbiased cooperation in this sphere for the benefit of citizens of Russia and EU Member States.
