On 13-14 October 2014 the 2nd International Forum of alumni of one of the most prestigious higher educational institutions in Russia – the famous Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the Russian Ministry of the Foreign Affairs – will take place in Moscow. The event will bring together public officials and members of the civil society, academia and business community, as well as journalists from all over the world – those who graduated from the MGIMO at different times.
The Forum follows up on the tradition established in 2013 in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. This time the MGIMO (Moscow, Vernadski Avenue, 76) will host the meeting celebrating the 70th anniversary of the University. This event will be a major contribution to strengthening the international MGIMO alumni community.
Debates on topical issues of global development and evolution of the societies and economies of the countries the alumni come from will take place within the Forum. Separate meetings will address the art of diplomacy, activities of the media and best practices in corporate governance. On the margins of the Forum participants will deliver open lectures for students and post-graduates.
