On 30 May 2023, at the initiative of the Russian side, a working meeting was organised in Brussels between representatives of the diplomatic missions of China, Cuba, Iran, Nicaragua, Russia, Syria and Venezuela to the EU.
Following up on the first event held in the Permanent Mission on 18 April 2023 at the level of heads of diplomatic missions, the officials discussed modalities for further expanding the work of the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter within the Brussels format.
