On 14 November inauguration ceremony of the photo exhibition “Syria: Photo Chronicles” presenting works by journalists from Rossiya Segodnya media company and the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) took place on the premises of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The event was co-organised by Vice-Chair of the European Parliament Delegation to the Russia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, Mr. Jiří Maštálka and the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the EU.
The exhibition presents a unique set of photo documents on the tragic humanitarian situation in Syria collected by Russian correspondents who risked their lives in 2015-2016.
Participants of the ceremony included Permanent Representative of Russia to the EU Ambassador Vladimir Chizhov, Vice-Chair of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Russian State Duma Irina Rodnina, authors of the works presented, MEPs and journalists.
The exhibition will be open for visitors of the European Parliament until 16 November.
