Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs S.Ryabkov meets Minister-Counsellors of EU member states and Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Russia

On 13 January 2011 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov met Minister-Counsellors of the embassies of EU member states and the Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to Moscow. The discussion embraced topical issues of the international agenda, including the situation around the Iranian nuclear programme in the light of the forthcoming meeting between the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton and political directors of the “group of six” nations (alternatively referred to as “5+1” or “3+3”) and Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Saeed Jalili in late January in Istanbul. They also discussed arms control, disarmament and WMD non-proliferation, ratification of the START Treaty, relations between Russia and US, Canada and Latin America, certain issues of Russia-NATO and Russia-EU cooperation.
Sergey Ryabkov answered numerous questions.
