On 13 October Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Russia Markus Ederer.
The meeting highlighted the current situation in the Middle East with an emphasis on matters regarding the Syrian settlement, including efforts to ensure the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2254.
