28 February, A.V. Grushko, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, had a meeting with the representatives of the Russian part of Russia-EU Round Table of Industrialists and Businessmen.
During the meeting the parties considered the possibilities for the development of the trade and economic cooperation with the European Union ensured in the result of accession of Russia to WTO. The participants of the meeting discussed the situation around some large investment projects implemented together with the companies from EU countries. The parties exchanged the opinions on the ways of overcoming the problems encountered by the Russian business in the European Union market. The representatives of the business community emphasized the importance of cancellation of visa system with EU member states which considerably impedes the development of economic relations.
