Competition authorities of Russia and the EU signed a Memorandum of Understanding

Igor Artemyev, Head of the Russian Federal Anti-Monopoly Service visited Brussels on 10-11 March 2011. During the visit Igor Artemyev and Joaquín Almunia, Vice President of the European Commission in charge of competition policy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the competition authorities of Russia and the EU.

The Memorandum creates a framework for dialogue on competition policy matters, for sharing views and non-confidential information on individual cases and investigation of cases of common interest concerning violation of competition legislation.
