Bureau of the Russia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee meets in Hamburg

A Bureau meeting of the Russia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee (PCC) took place in Hamburg on 23 June 2011.

The participants discussed preparations for the 14th PCC meeting in Warsaw, as well as specific issues of PCC activities in 2011. They reaffirmed their intention to strive for implementation of the proposal made by the PCC Co-Chairmen to establish a visa-free regime for passport holders of Russia and EU born in 1989 and later.

The plan of PCC activities in 2012 was outlined.

The Bureau members visited the Hamburg Town Hall and met with Ms Carola Veit, President of the city Parliament.
